Most people promise you the “best service” in order to get you to do business with them, but most of them don’t follow through and let you down. This is not the case with Jim O’Neil. We would like to thank Jim O’Neil for advising us on the purchase of our first home. I’ve known Jim since his days as a management consultant and have always been impressed by his professionalism and results-oriented approach. From our initial meeting to the final document signing, Jim was actively involved and always available to answer questions and provide guidance on all events associated with the transaction. During the search process, Jim was very attentive and didn’t try to sway us towards anything that didn’t meet our criteria. After looking at a few properties that resulted in limited success, Jim suggested we take a look at a unit in a TIC building that had recently become available. In order to keep things moving ahead smoothly, Jim assumed the leadership role amongst the other buyers’ agents. He was at the inspection (again the only buyer’s agent to attend) and took a lead role in the negotiations between all of the buyers and the sellers. As part of his conscientious follow-up, he called the escrow officer to make sure of the communication effort on the close of escrow and ensured that the close occurred as scheduled. This turned out to be fortunate as there was a miscommunication between the escrow officer and loan officer as to which day the transaction was supposed to close. In conclusion, I think Jim showed that he is proactive, responsive, and easy to work with; kept us informed at all steps of the transaction, helped us learn about the TIC process, and helped us in any way he could. We would certainly recommend Jim to any of our friends who are thinking of buying or selling a home.
